An NDP MLA introduced a motion which calls for expanding abortion services in rural Alberta.
Rural Alberta has more pressing healthcare priorities than abortion. In fact, many reports have been written about the healthcare needs of rural communities which included feedback from the people who live there, all of which are being ignored by the NDP government.
Why is the NDP promoting a wild ideologically driven agenda at the expense of real healthcare in rural Alberta?
Instead of using money and resources to act on the suggestions of rural communities and the recommendations of the various government reports on this problem, the NDP continues to divide Albertans.
Alberta needs patient-centred care which is informed by medical advice instead of the radical ideological agenda which NDP politicians are intent on pushing.
We call upon the NDP to stop dividing Albertans through focusing on their ideological agenda while ignoring the actual healthcare needs of rural communities. We call upon the Members of the Legislative Assembly to defeat M-514.
